Gwyddbwyll Gwenddoleu ap Ceidio
There are twelve legendary treasures of Brython, and the Gwyddbwyll Gwenddoleu ap Ceidio is one of them.
A playing board much resembling a chess board but made of gold and ebony, with playing pieces made of silver and obsidian, it has several unusual powers. The pieces are known to play on their own if left alone, and depending on the ministrations of those that understand its powers (usually Druids, but other magic users have been known to consult it too) the movement of the pieces can be used to discern events far afield.
Since the closing of the Kaer the Gwyddbwyll Gwenddoleu ap Ceidio has been used to watch the process of the horrors outside and the level of magic in the world, when the silver pieces stopped moving two years ago, the Druids took it as sign that the frost-heim was over.
What uses shall now be made of it, none know, but it was a treasure that had been claimed by the Gryffydd clan and they allowed its use by all during the scourge – as such it currently resides within Dan-Yr-Ogof still.
